The Health & Social Care Moray Podiatry Department helps to keep the population mobile and supports those accessing our care to keep their independence and maintain their quality of life.

We provide an expert and complete range of foot and lower limb care with community-based and specialist podiatry services, located in various health centres and NHS premises across Moray.

Our administrative and management office is based at The Glassgreen Centre, Elgin.

Our services include:

High Risk Service – This service looks after people who are more at risk of developing serious foot wounds or disability or who have already developed serious foot complications as a result of an underlying systematic disease.

Minor Surgery Service - This specialist service can provide a solution to chronic or painful conditions that do not respond to other podiatric treatments e.g. in-growing toenails or verrucae.

Musculoskeletal Service – a specialist podiatry service which supports the assessment, diagnoses and treatment of patients presenting with a wide range of MSK conditions. These include heel pain, problems arising from limb length differences, lower back pain, shin splints, hypermobility or excessive pronation/supination.

Podiatry Education – we provide education and coaching on all aspects of foot health and strongly support self-care.  We can support and educate carers, family members, other health-care professionals and colleagues on how to carry out basic foot and toe nail care. We also provide education to larger groups such as schools, students and community groups on all aspects of good foot health

Community Podiatry Services – community-based NHS podiatry service supports the assessment, diagnoses and treatment of an array of foot, skin and nail conditions.  We provide hands-on care and personalised treatment plans, aiming to resolve the problem or at least reach a level of maintenance and comfort.

Please note the Moray NHS Podiatry Service does not carry out toe nail cutting.  If you are unable to do this for yourself then we can provide advice or signpost you to appropriate support.
